Heart Dinbats Font Freebie.

Over at the Creating Keepsakes blog they have Free Font Friday and this weeks font is these gorgeous hearts dingbats that I thought would be great printed out on strips of papers to match my layout or card or even printed onto ribbon, you could just use one image in a line or a pattern of them.
The possibilities are endless so why not pop over the the CK blog and download the font (instructions are provided if you need them) it's only free until Friday so don't delay.

The Darkness!

I haven't been crafting for a couple of days as spring is knocking at my door reminding me that I am still not prepared for the mountain of seeds I am going to have to start setting soon for my allotment (well maybe it's more of a pile than a mountain!) So I have been spring cleaning my greenhouse, sorting out my new shed and washing all my pots. Phew!
With all this frantic activity in the garden I thought I would have a little rest and show you another of my layouts that I finished last week.

A bit of an ominous title but it was quite funny at the time. We were on holiday last year and had a day trip to Dover Castle (very nice castle by the way) and we were exploring the grounds when we came across this tunnel. As it was a bright sunny day our eyes could not adjust properly to be able to see how far this tunnel went, so one of my daughters tentatively went inside by herself but got spooked by someone (might have been me!) and ran back out.
In the end I suggested we all went in together (safety in numbers so they say), so ever so slowly we crept into the darkness and stood a little way inside until our eyes adjusted to the dim light and low and behold the tunnel was in fact only about twenty feet deep. What fools we felt!

Hope you liked my page and the story that went with it, have yourself a great weekend.

Mini Kit Projects.

A few weeks ago I made up a mini kit for the ladies at Bradfield Craft Club to play with. On Monday some of us brought in what we had made using the kit and it always thrills me to see how different the projects are even though we all had the same papers and embellishments etc.

This is the kit, with American Craft 'Celebration' papers and lots of bits and pieces like co-ordinating glitter brads, tags, rick rac and some free printables that I found that went quite well with the colours and theme of the papers.

This is my favourite of the 3 pages I made.

This one I made using only scraps of the patterned papers.

This is my third and final page.

Joan managed two pages.

How different Joan's pages are from each other!

With Jackie's page I wondered why she had used 'Dangerous' as a title, then I noticed the little boy in the photo is wearing a hard hat whilst reading!

I have a nephew with a birthday this Friday so I made a card for him from the kit.

The papers were double sided and Jackie has made full use of the selection with this card, a great way to use up any scraps left over.

The flower Jackie made really goes well with the flowers in the pattern of the background paper on this card.

I liked how Jackie tucked the bobble trim just behind the strip of pink paper making it very neat and tidy.

Joan dressed up the printed Happy Birthday sentiment with some flowers she cut from the patterned papers and added the glitter brads for some sparkle.

Last but not least Joan's 'Celebrate' card that could be used for a male or female birthday.

I hope you enjoyed looking at our projects and I'm sure I will have some more examples from using the kit in the future as some of our members are on holiday.

I Taut I Taw A Puddy Tat!

Here I am back with another layout that I finished this week, lots of American Crafts papers and Erin Bradley digi images. The Tweety image was just copied from Google images and he was the base for the colours of my page.

In case you were wondering Molly the cat did not get the bird, she is very good, not even attempting to make a grab for Pippy but I think the budgie is pushing her luck sometimes as she often lands near Molly (and they say curiosity kills the CAT!).
Hope you like my fun page and I will be back in a couple of days with another to show you.

My Sweet Girls

Although I have been M.I.A. from my blog lately I have been scrapping, well mostly finishing off projects that I had already started but not quite got around to completing. They all needed the title, journaling or those little touches that make you happy with the end result.

So here is one I photographed this morning showing my eldest DD and my eldest cat.

I promise to be back soon with another page.

Free digi papers!

Hi Scrappy friends, how about some free papers? A wonderfully generous lady called Mel has started making her own digi papers and is giving them away FREE!!!!

Aren't they beautiful and she will be making more papers that co-ordinate with these.

If you pop over to her blog HERE you can download them and the only condition is that you can't sell them.

I can't wait to print them out and start using them on my projects.
