Thin on the Ground.

We were a bit thin on the ground at this weeks craft club meeting so I only have 3 pages to show you. So without further waffle on my part, below is the colour combination we used for our inspiration courtesy of Pinterest.

Here is my page (using some ancient papers)

Pam's page.

Jackie's page.

Thanks for stopping by and I should be back soon with a double pager that I finished recently.

Life is about Moments Like These.

Sometimes life can be hard and you wonder why you bother weeding the garden (there are always more to take their place), ironing clothes (when the kids can't or won't get the idea of folding), or baking cakes ( and I wonder why I still can't find any clothes that fit)!
You book a break away for a few days and the kids would rather stay a home... until you get to your destination and they are having a great time exploring somewhere different!
My layout I am sharing with you today is an example of this, we had booked a few days in Newquay stopping off on the way as it is several hours drive, by the time we got to our hotel everyone was a bit fed up but we dragged the girls down to the bay outside our hotel.

The white capped waves drew the girls like a magnet, shoes were off and trousers rolled up and they were not bothered by the fact it was April and the water was not warm. The travelling was forgotten and it was amazing how much beautiful scenery and children laughing can restore your soul.
Life Is About Moments Like These!!!!

Here is a close up of the bottom corner cluster, I loved this little bird that I got from HERE last week, good job it was a pack of ten.
All the patterned paper was Scenic Route from many moons ago.

Back tomorrow with more to show you.

A productive afternoon.

I had a free afternoon yesterday as I had prepared the dinner in advance and the washing was blowing on the line, the children were occupied and hubby was out. So I got 2 pages done and a couple of cards that are for the Bradfield club challenge and then almost finished another layout but that only needs the journaling (when I find the details of the photos).
This page below is one that I started weeks ago but lost my mojo on it, I was determined to get it done and put in my album. The trouble is that it has a photo of me when I was young but don't know how old I was so I cheated and put the decade as the title.

The papers I used are from American Crafts Basics range which are double sided so a couple of sheets went a long way.
Hope fully will get my journaling done and I will have another page to show you tomorrow.

Play Date.

Rain stopped play AGAIN! My allotment is drowning so I thought I could at least post the layout I finished a couple of days ago. (the day is not a complete washout).

I had turned these photo's black and white as I already knew I wanted to use these American Crafts papers because the pattern almost matched my daughters skirt but the colours were different.

The flower embellishments were cut from one of the papers and I added some gems.
The title and the little black flowers are rub ons.

Thanks for dropping by and I hope you are having better weather than us here in Essex, but then if it wasn't raining I wouldn't be blogging!!!!

Spiders!

I saw this picture and it made me giggle, I also thought of my dear friend Helen, as not only is she a cat lover but she HATES spiders. A cat after your own heart Helen?

I have got a layout to show you but forgot to photograph it during daylight hours so will post that tomorrow, hopefully brain cells might be working.

Two pages.

I have finally finished two pages out of the many that I have piled up waiting for me to add titles or journaling. So I thought I would post them before I forget because the sun is showing an appearance today and the garden is calling.

I love the photo's in this one.

I was experimenting with more than one colour of  paint here and was quite pleased with the result.

Both of these layouts are using photo's taken in a little fishing village down in Cornwall called Charlestown and if you are in the area this summer I recommend a visit and take your camera as there are plenty of beautiful and interesting features of the village that are worth recording.

Ok now I must get my skates on, weeds are taking over the garden and the daffs need deadheading. Enjoy your Bank Holiday Monday whatever you are doing.
