Just popping in with the winner from my Triangle challenge that I set to celebrate Sketch N Scraps Birthday.
Thanks to everyone who took part, all the layouts were beautiful.
I printed out the names of the participants and asked my youngest daughter to select one from the bowl............

So the winner is Leslie Giertuga!
Congratulations Leslie, please email me ( kerry.bruce@btinternet.com ) with your postal address and I will send out your prize.
You have until Saturday 13th June to claim it.

Thanks again to everyone who joined in with not only my challenge but all the Birthday challenges set by the DT gals. I hope you enjoyed playing along.

It's been a while.

Hello everyone!
I bet you thought I had forgotten you all, but no I have just been in a bit of a scrapping/blogging funk and can't seem to get motivated. Me and my mojo had a falling out and we have yet to kiss and make up!
Luckily I have a few layouts that missed the deadlines for various challenges due to said funk and when I had a weekend crop a couple of weeks ago I managed to get them finished off.
I am sharing some of them with you  today and I will come back (I promise!) with a couple more when I get the chance.

Continuing on with photo's from our holiday last year I created this layout featuring hubby no less! We were in Paris for the day and just had a few minutes to snap some photo's of Notre Dame before taking the boat to another landmark.

I didn't make this page too flowery as it features none of my girls, so just a fussy cut one with some added die-cut swirls.

All the brads on the page and this circle embellishment were some left overs from an old line by MME but went perfectly with my Pebbles Front Porch papers.

This next page I got away with lots of flowers because I was in the photo's as well as hubby!
We were enjoying a pub lunch whilst the children were at school, something we love to do when Gary has a week day off work.

I loved how this little cluster came together with the doily, tickets and buttons. The delicate flowers add a feminine touch without being overly girly. Although there is quite a lot of pink everywhere!

And a quick look at the bottom of the page, love those cute wooden people!

Hopefully this post will start the ball rolling with my mojo and it will be plain sailing from now on!
(I can dream)

Thanks for not abandoning me and I promise to be a better blogger this  month.
Until we meet again, toodle pip!

Serious Fun.

I am flitting here and there at the moment, doing DIY, shopping and trying to pack and plan for a weekend crop this week.
No time for actual scrapping at the moment but hopefully will get a couple of pages done over the weekend!!
Today I have a layout to share that I created a few days ago and have only just got around to posting it. It was influenced by the current mood board challenge over at the Sassy Scrappers blog.

There are lots of elements from the mood board that I have incorporated into my page.
The first was from the Disney quote - I used photo's from our trip to Disneyland Paris last year.
The colours of course - lots of lovely pink, blur and yellow.

The striped black and white table cloth is expressed by the addition of some stripey strips of paper.

For the flowers I added some chipboard blooms plus a couple of these sweet flower brads that have been in my stash longer than I can remember!

I am dashing off again now as I am cooking the family's dinner then I'm off to work but if you would like to play along with this wonderful mood board challenge, hop on over to the Sassy Scrapper Blog HERE and check out all the inspiration to be had as well!

As always, thanks for stopping by. xx

Happy Birthday Sketch N Scrap!

All month long the Sketch N Scrap Design Team gals have been setting Birthday Bash Challenges and today is my turn to set one.

Because it's all about the number three, this challenge must only include three of things;
3 papers, 3 buttons, 3 photo's etc.
I have also set a theme - that triple sided, trendy shape, the humble triangle!
So to enter my challenge you must make a scrapbook layout focused on TRIANGLES as well as the number THREE!

Here is the layout I created for this challenge for which I used three different papers from the American Crafts Polka Dot Party line, three photo's, three flowers and three word printables.

I recently purchased a triangle mask, so used it to make a subtle bit of interest using texture paste.
In three different places of course!

My three word title is also made up of three different materials - foam, cork and paper!

I have also made a sketch of my layout.
You are not required to base your page for this challenge on it, but feel free to use it at any time!

Now, so that I can offer this challenge out to International players too I have created this prize out of wooden shapes so that it will be nice and light in case the winner is overseas (I am in the UK!).

So let's go over the RULES!

1. You must make a scrapbook layout focused on TRIANGLES as well as the number THREE!
2. You may combine my challenge with other challenges EXCEPT Sketch N Scrap ones. But NO BACK LINKING!
2. You must provide a link of your entry in the comments below, directing me to your actual blogpost, not just your blog.
3. There must be a link back to this page on your blogpost.
4. Challenge ends at 11.55pm on Tuesday 2nd June, British Summer Time.
5. A winner will be picked at random and only if there is five or more participants.

Don't forget to check out the Sketch N Scrap blog for more challenges from the DT as well as the usual sketch challenges!
Hope you can join me with this triangle challenge, love to see your layouts!

Oh The Places You Go!

My cats are photographed far too much but we just can't help going ahhh at their cuteness!
I have used the new sketch challenge over at Sketch N Scrap to showcase several pics of two of our cats.

Here is the sketch Kelly has designed for us to play with.

Even though the sketch already had four photo's in the design I still had another four pic's to display so I simply doubled the sketch to incorporate them all.

A better look at the left page and yes my cats go in/on the dishwasher, in cupboards and even try to squeezed themselves into spaces that they obviously are not going to fit in!
These two are the worst of our three cats for getting into odd places but I'm sure most cats are the same!

In this selection we have - on the stereo, in front of the computer monitor, in my kitchen cupboard where my mixer goes and lastly inside a drawer that holds my inks and glitters!

A few little close-up's of around the pages.

I hope I have inspired you to play along with us at Sketch N Scrap.
Details of how to play along and what prize is up for grabs this month head on over to the blog HERE.

Always happy that you stopped by.
Hugs,
Kerry. xx

Disney Magic.

I have just finished a layout I created based on the awesome sketch challenge over at Scrap The Girls, lots of lovely layers and girly details!

Here is the sketch.

Here is the layout I made using the sketch and Heidi Swapp Mixed Company papers.
Please excuse the grey photo, we are having a rainy overcast day here is the East of England. No matter how much adjustment I make on the contrast the background is determined not to be white!
Our trip to Disneyland Paris last summer wouldn't be complete without a photo of the iconic Disney Castle!

A dear friend cut me the word 'Disney' out on her Cricut, the word is just not the same in any other font!

I love the beautiful flower papers in this Heidi Swapp line, perfect for cutting for embellishments.
I haven't added butterflies to my pages much lately so thought some glitter ones were in order!

Hope you liked my page and if you want to play along with this lovely sketch challenge over at Scrap The Girls (open until the end of the month) just head on over to the blog from this link HERE.

Enjoy the rest of your week.
Hugs
Kerry. xx

Friendly Challenge.

I have had a wonderful weekend which started early for me on Friday morning with a day of scrapping at my friend Helen's.
With the usual chatting and eating thrown in for good measure of course!
Then on Saturday I had organised a craft shopping/pub lunch day for us Bradfield croppers and we all had a lovely fun filled, retail therapy outing.
By the time I got home an invitation to an evening bbq awaited to top off my wonderful day.
Back to the scrapping, I have mine and Helen's challenge to share with you and this time it was a tic-tac-toe set by Helen.

This is the choices we played with.

This is the layout I made using the challenge and my choice was the top row of stitching, buttons and doily. I came across this spotty paper and realised it would be perfect for the photo's of my girls in Disneyland Paris waiting for 'rain' at this outdoor prop.

In this photo you can clearly see all of my choices.

I used my Sew Easy tool to make the holes in the paper for my stitching. I usually forget all about this great tool and glad I remembered it this time.

Here is Helen gorgeous take for the challenge and she used the options down the right hand column, doily, washi tape and paint splats.
Helen's photo stars her youngest daughter's pet gecko's Sid and Mollie. She had cleverly taken two separate photo's of her gecko's and joined them together in Photoshop!

This photo shows all of Helen's choices.

Helen had also used her Sew easy tool along with the circle attachment to create the great looking stitching in the background.

I do hope you enjoyed another Friendly Challenge courtesy of myself and Helen. We love setting these challenges with each other and this year we even set six challenges each at the start giving us a whole year's worth to play with!

Our next one is going to be adding beads to our layouts - something we haven't done in years!
Any ideas you have feel free to share with us!

Thanks for checking out our challenge.
Until next time. xx
