This was the second of these Friday to Sunday crops that I have arranged and although we camped out in a community hall rather than had the luxury of proper beds we all had a great time! It was like being a Girl Guide all over again, with sharing the chores, blowing up your inflatable bed and lots of paper, glue and scissors! Such fun! And it only cost £16 - who needs an expensive hotel?
I have a couple of photo's to share of my weekend, this first one was taken when everyone else had left the main hall to have lunch and as you can see there isn't a bare piece of table to be seen. The little table in the centre was our 'messy table' where we could spritz and splat our paints and inks without fear of redecorating the hall!
Here is a pic of the animals at the trough....I mean the ladies at the lunch table! We had all contributed to the lunch menu which was a delicious salad most of which was homemade. Then a fresh fruit salad and homemade cakes for pudding!
We also had the lovely Sandie teaching her 'mini maxi book' and a row of 'show and tell' tables for putting on a exhibition of our creations to the rest of the group.
Well now you know why I have been missing perhaps you can forgive me!
Have you ever organised a weekend away with your scrappy/crafty friends? If you have a local hall that allows you to spend the night in and some crafty friends willing to chip in with putting up tables and providing a few items of food then you have the ingredients for a great weekend. We are already looking forward to the next one in November.
I look forward to showing you some of the other pages I made over the weekend over the next few days. Until then have fun! xx
Looks like you all had a fabulous fun time Kerry!!! ...and all that crafty stash (looks like everyone brought their craft rooms with them lol) what a wonderful scrappy weekend !
ReplyDeleteKerry I loved it! It's a great idea. If I lived there I would love to participate with you. Really fun!
