White With 1 Challenge.

You know I like to have a go at online challenges and this week I completed a layout for the White With 1 challenge blog, their recipe this month is black and white with paint or mists.

Here is the layout I did.

The bird cage is a template from the Crafters Workshop, it's such a lovely one, you can see it HERE

A close up of the butterfly that I stamped with a love sentiment stamp from Docrafts.

The hearts that I used for the butterfly trail were the waste from the title letters.

Thanks for stopping by and hope your Sunday is a crafty one!!!!

A Friendly Challenge.

As usual when I get together with my friend Helen we share our pages from the challenge we set each other.
This month it was to scrap about our other halves, not something we usually do as they don't tend to lend themselves to pretty flowery paper and glitter!!!!
But hey, the men in our lives are cherished so we thought we would focus on them for a little while.
I forgot to take any macro photos so click on the images for a closer look.

Here is my page and it shows my hubby enjoying a cold beer after working so hard to get the wood pile filled up for the winter.

Here is Helen's page which tells the story of her partners struggle against illness and the good days that provide the welcome light at the end of a dark tunnel.

Now for next months challenge Helen and I will be focusing on a famous mouse!
Yes, you guessed it Mickey. We have both visited Florida a couple of times so have plenty of Disney photos to prove it, but we are being quite specific on the challenge which involves stitching so I will post the results as soon as we have had a chance to get together again.

A little late.

I am a little late with posting the projects from the last Bradfield Craft club meeting, so here they are... The page sketch #13

Here is my page and I used the fabulous American Crafts City Park line as it has gorgeous colors that just shout FUN.

Here is a close up of the top corner where there is quite a mix of different printable elements that I have collected over the last few months from freebies online.
There is just so many talented people out there that are so generous and give their work for free.

Here are just some of the ones I use.

Stamping!!

Now, I don't do alot of stamping but I have seen many cards lately (in blogland) that have stems of grass and flowers as the focus and I really like the effect. So whilst in Birds in the Barn I saw a stamp set by Artemio and decided to have a go at using them for my dear friend Helen's birthday card.

I usually stamp in black ink but I was surprised how much I liked the coloured, subdued effect. I added some Stickles to the flowers (click on the image to see the card closer) and even used ribbon!!!!

Thanks for stopping by.

Shimelle's Sketch of the week.

Over on Shimelle's blog she has lots of challenges going on but the Sketch Of The Week caught my eye.
It's a great looking sketch and I had just found some old photo's of my 1st born that went perfectly.

Here is my take on the sketch, the background is a lovely spotty paper from Bobunny that matched the fabric on the sunhat and the pattern papers are all American Crafts Sweet Summertime.

If I get time I may have a go at Shimelle's Scrapbook Starting Point challenge too as I have yet to do that one.

Thanks for stopping by.
