Monday night crafters.

Another thouroughly enjoyable evening spent crafting with friends at Bradfield Craft Club with a bit of chat thrown in for good measure.
The last time we met I gave out the sketches that I made and challenged us to use thread on our creations, below are the sketches and the pages/cards that we made.

Looking forward to our next meeting in a fortnight's time which will be 4th April, the year has shot ahead leaving me behind, so I might not be here much as I must concentrate on my garden and allotment, but in an Arnold way "I'LL BE BACK".

A Thorough Soaking.

Twisted Sketches had a great sketch this week and it inspired me to scrap a large photo I had of the family in Florida. We had gone on a ride in Animal Kingdom which involved us all sitting in a raft whilst it plummeted down some rapids, it was hilarious watching everyone getting soaked, but walking around in soggy clothes for hours was not so appealing!!!

Super Fast!!

Well here is the page using the photo I posted here yesterday, I have never taken pictures, processed and scrapped them all on the same day before - wow, it was so pleasing to do that.

I was really pleased how the page turned out, with it's bright colours and simple layout. When a page goes together quickly and turns out how I wanted it, I really get the urge to do more straight away. Alas home life at the weekend is a little hectic but it's craft club Monday so am looking forward to having a couple of hours of pure crafting.

I'll be back in a couple of days with the projects from Bradfield Craft Club and hopefully another page.

Red Nose fun!

I've been having fun with my new found knowledge from the Photoshop course I'm attending along with my dear friend Helen.
How to turn a photo black and white (or any other colour) but making one part in colour focus.
My youngest daughter asked to buy all three RED NOSES that are out this year and of course my little brain immediately thought scrapbook page opportunity!!!! Of course I let her buy all three and within 30mins of getting home from school I had her photographed and was playing in Photoshop!

Here is the end result.

I opened the aperture right up on my camera so that she would be slightly out of focus and made the bright noses center of attention. Now all that's left is to print them out and SCRAP!
