A couple of cards.

I try and make two cards at a time these days as I always seem to run out and as I am cutting one piece of paper, I may aswell cut two and make identical cards and have a spare for another birthday.

So today I got some inspiration from a wonderful cardmaker called Therese Calverd who just happened to use this cute puppy stamp (that I have aswell) on a card, so I lifted it. Obviously I didn't have the same papers or flower etc. that she used but I just improvised.
Now one card has been posted to a wonderful aunt of mine and the other is safe in my almost empty card box but I have found some fantastic inspiration in Bloggland lately that has really got me longing to make more cards when I get back from my hols.

Thanks so much for dropping by.

Bag Love.

I had a go at making a crossover bag today, I have had the pattern and fabric for ages and decided that I wanted to have a new bag to take to Florida with me.
The bag is lightweight and padded and I even put a couple of pockets inside!!
If you click on the images you can see the pictures clearer.

Do you like the funky fabric? Found it at Ikea a couple of years ago along with some other designs which are destined to be bags as well.

Here's a closer look at the pretty birds and flowers ( there are butterflies as well!!! ).

Now you are really going to be impressed! I made a co-ordinated button to match!

I've caught the bug for this bag and two of my girls want one each for school so you know what I'll be up to when I don't post for a while although I have some cards to make so might be back soon with a post for them.

Thanks for dropping by.

Balloon Card.

It's my brother-in-laws birthday this week so yesterday I made a 'man card' BLURGH! I could not think of anything to put on it (this is usually the case when it comes to men's cards) and I am still waiting for some star Nestabilities that I ordered to arrive, which were bought with men's cards in mind.

But then I remembered I had a balloon Sizzix die from waaaayyyy back and I was a happy bunny, I cut out the balloons, stamped on them and then covered them in 3D glaze. The background cardstock was run through a Happy Birthday Cuttlebug embossing folder and I added a few gems to tie in the blue colour.
Luckily my next card to make is for one of my aunts so back to girly theme YEH!
Hope you all are have a terrific summer, back soon I hope.
